The central theme of the ABG stand revolves around ABG Connect, the company's automated workflow solution for the labeling industry.

A B Graphic International is showcasing its largest Labelexpo presence to date, highlighting 17 finishing machines across the show. Building on successful previous exhibitions in the Americas, ABG has unveiled its automation revolution and a portfolio of its latest product developments. The central theme of the ABG stand revolves around ABG Connect, the company’s automated workflow solution for the labeling industry. ABG Connect aims to streamline the print and finishing process by seamlessly connecting all stages into one automated workflow. This solution, developed over nearly a decade, brings numerous commercial and efficiency benefits. Collaborations with self-adhesive label converter and MIS specialist CERM have resulted in a plug-and-play solution that uses the latest industry-standard JDF/JMF messaging format to connect customers’ management information systems to their ABG finishing lines. One of ABG Connect’s key advantages is its boost in productivity and operator efficiency. ABG is demonstrating the appeal of ABG Connect by conducting live demonstrations using its Digicon Series 3, in conjunction with CERM and their Omega Horizon multifunctional table-top winding solution. Matt Burton, ABG’s global sales director, says, “Labelexpo Europe is the largest showcase of our latest innovations yet, with a significant focus on increased automation. As ever, we are eager to engage with new and existing customers, updating them on our market-leading finishing equipment and demonstrating our commitment to fully meeting their expectations and share a beer after such a long time.” Notable products on display include advancements in non-stop winding technology, featuring the non-stop line 530 and the Automatic Servo Unwind (ASU), a new generation of servo non-stop unwind. Additionally, ABG is showcasing its latest rewind solution, the ASR+, which incorporates auto-cutting technology. These non-stop winding solutions are operating alongside ABG’s new Converter platform, a fully modular converting line that offers higher speeds, new flexo technology, and a smaller footprint. The Converter can be customized to meet individual requirements, as well as retrofit capabilities. ABG’s 430mm-wide Digicon Series 3 has also been showcased prominently at the show. Designed to meet the growing demand for wider web converters, this model is a beverage specification machine, equipped with new flexo technology with higher semi-rotary speeds for enhanced print registration and quality. The 430mm-wide model retains all the existing modules of the 350mm machine, including flatbed screen printing and the Big Foot 50-ton hot foil emboss unit with a swivel head. These modules can be jointly installed on the Digicon Series 3 430, allowing for foiling and embossing in a single pass. Like all Digicon Series 3 machines, the 430mm version is fully compatible with fleyeVision, ABG’s camera inspection and editing system, offering automatic selection, 100% inspection, and rejection of rolls with errors, without interrupting production. ABG is also displaying its latest turret rewinder model, the Vectra, which replaces the Vectra SGTR and ECTR. The Vectra offers faster speeds and solidifies ABG’s position as a leader in turret rewinder technology and will be available with and without glue and in all web widths up to 670mm. Among other products on display, some of which are being showcased for the first time, are a Digicon with screen and Ecoleaf unit for sustainable metallization, DigiLase 4.0, DigiJet 330, DigiLite, SRI3 430 with monochrome inkjet, shrink sleeve seaming (SR), doctoring solutions (DR), an entry-level SRI, in addition to a booklet module. ABG also has a DigiLite on the Lundberg Tech stand 7B51. To complete an extensive product lineup, ABG is showing its non-stop unwind and rewind system on the HP stand – the solution is integrated into HP Indigo’s V12 line, further enhancing the automation levels offered by the V12. ABG is also showcasing the Digicon Series 3 with DigiLase and DigiJet, and both machines are being displayed on stand P100 during the show.
